Katharina Volgger is an architect based between Berlin and Bolzano. She founded her practice in 2022 after several years of professional experience in internationally recognized offices.
She is particularly interested in multilayered, non-monoprogrammatic, and ambiguous spaces within both social and private environments — spaces that allow overlap, negotiation, and transformation.
Prior to establishing her office, she worked for BeL Sozietät für Architektur, Barkow Leibinger, and HHF Architects, contributing to a wide range of projects from project architect to project lead. Working across all phases of architectural practice, her approach connects design, construction, and strategic thinking. Projects range from residential buildings to larger urban frameworks, exploring how spatial structures can enable new forms of living together.

Katharina is actively engaged in teaching and academic discourse. She led the Chair of Urban Design at the Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, where she also leads the course BIEP – Building Industries Economics and Politics.
